How Speedpack Works

What does the work entail?

Speedpack handles on-demand pickup and delivery assignments, including local deliveries and time-sensitive shipments. Work changes based on customer demand, and drivers generally do not follow fixed daily routes.

How does driver pay work?

Pay varies based on the job type and Speedpack's driver rate sheet. The full rate sheet is provided privately to selected applicants who receive a secure onboarding invitation.

Does Speedpack provide dedicated routes?

No. Speedpack operates primarily through on-demand assignments rather than dedicated daily delivery routes.

Am I a W-2 employee or an independent contractor?

Speedpack drivers operate as independent contractors, not W-2 employees. Contractors complete a W-9 during onboarding and may receive a 1099 for tax reporting.

How often do drivers get paid?

Drivers are paid once per week, on Fridays.

What is the best way to earn more money with Speedpack?

Availability is an important factor: drivers with greater availability generally have more opportunities to receive assignments, including potentially higher-paying work. Actual earnings and profitability also depend on accepted assignments and vehicle operating expenses.

Does Speedpack provide a vehicle?

No. Drivers provide and maintain their own vehicles.

Do you only accept drivers with vans?

No. Vans are not required. Speedpack frequently prefers fuel-efficient cars for everyday courier assignments, although different vehicles may be useful for different shipment types.

How much can I expect to earn?

According to company-provided historical figures, Speedpack drivers overall average approximately $1,100 per week in driver payments, rather than a separate average for either recruiting track. This is an approximate historical average, not guaranteed compensation or take-home profit; vehicle expenses and taxes affect what you keep. Actual earnings vary depending on availability, assignments and other factors.

Is Speedpack a good side gig?

Speedpack can work as supplemental income. However, drivers with limited availability generally receive fewer opportunities and should not expect the same earning potential as drivers who are regularly available.

What are the requirements to become a driver?
  • Reliable access to a suitable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and current vehicle registration and insurance.
  • A smartphone capable of using the Driver App, including GPS, photos and job notifications, plus WhatsApp for dispatch communication.
  • A TWIC card or willingness to obtain one. You can apply while waiting for your card or before applying for one. Obtain it before accepting airport work that requires it.
  • Ability to service South Florida, legal authorization to perform independent contractor work in the United States, and the other requirements in the existing eligibility check and application.

Eligibility & Vehicles

Do I need previous courier or airport cargo experience?

Courier, delivery, logistics, medical courier or airport cargo experience is helpful, but you can explain your current experience level in the application. Speedpack reviews your full driver profile.

Where do I need to be based, and what areas will I service?

Recruiting currently focuses on Florida-based drivers who can service South Florida. Jobs may involve Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, surrounding areas, airports or longer-distance travel; your normal starting area helps dispatch match practical assignments.

Can I apply while I am waiting for my TWIC card?

Yes. You can apply with a pending TWIC application or if you are willing to apply and pay for a card. You do not need the card to submit your application, but must obtain it before receiving airport-related work that requires it.

What types of vehicles can I apply with?

Cars, SUVs, minivans, cargo vans, Sprinter vans, pickup trucks, box trucks and other suitable vehicles may be considered. You may list up to three vehicles in the full application; larger vehicles may suit specialized loads but cost more to operate.

Availability & Assignments

What is the difference between a Consistent Schedule Courier and a Flex Driver?

Consistent Schedule Couriers provide their usual start and end times spanning at least eight hours, including overnight schedules. Flex Drivers provide a usual starting time, a starting range or indicate that it varies. Both are contractor opportunities; neither guarantees jobs, hours or earnings.

Does Speedpack operate 24/7, and do I have to match a preset time slot?

Yes, Speedpack operates 24/7 and may prefer coverage around 5:00 AM–2:00 PM, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM or 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. These are recruiting preferences, not required presets; enter your actual usual days and times in the application.

How do I know which opportunity Speedpack needs most?

After the eligibility check, the opportunities page and application display current hiring status and Recommended / Current Priority labels. Applications for either driver type may close when coverage is full.

Can I change my driver arrangement later?

You can ask Speedpack to change between Flex Driver and Consistent Schedule Courier opportunities later. Changes depend on current openings and coverage needs.

Do I start every shift from the Speedpack office?

No. Drivers normally begin from home or another location of their choosing. The application asks for your normal starting area so dispatch can match practical assignments.

Jobs & Dispatch

How will I receive job instructions?

Approved drivers use the Speedpack Driver App and WhatsApp for dispatch communication. Dispatch may also contact you by phone or text about an assignment.

Will every job involve airport cargo?

No. Some involve airports or cargo facilities, while others are local business pickups, deliveries or longer-distance courier assignments.

What should I do if I have a problem during a job?

Contact dispatch immediately. Confirm cargo, deadlines, addresses, signatures, delays or delivery instructions with dispatch whenever you are unsure.

Payment & Private Documents

Do I need an EIN or a bank account?

An EIN is not always required; some contractors use an SSN for tax paperwork. The application asks whether you can receive payment through Zelle, a bank account or both, with final instructions provided during onboarding. Do not enter an SSN, EIN or bank account number in the public application.

When can I review the full driver rate sheet?

Selected, interested applicants receive temporary private access through a secure onboarding invitation. If you are not yet an active driver, that invitation no longer provides access after it expires or is revoked; active-driver document access is handled separately through the existing authenticated system.

Application & Onboarding

Why is there an eligibility check, and what does the full application ask?

The eligibility check covers basic requirements before you spend time on the full application. The application asks for contact information, vehicles, driver type, usual availability, starting area, communication readiness, courier experience and contractor acknowledgments. Reading this FAQ is optional and is not part of eligibility.

Why are there no public document uploads, and what might be requested later?

The public application does not collect sensitive documents. If selected, use only Speedpack's secure onboarding invitation to provide required identity, license, registration, insurance, TWIC, work authorization, tax or payment materials. Do not send sensitive documents as ordinary email attachments.

What happens after I submit my application?

Speedpack reviews your application and contacts selected applicants by phone or text to discuss the opportunity and assess suitability. Interested applicants receive a secure invitation to complete documents and required training; after approval, profiles progress to Manage Drivers and Driver App account and WhatsApp access are set up together. Submission does not guarantee approval, assignments or income.

How can I improve my application?

Provide accurate contact information, list the vehicles you can reliably use, and enter availability you can maintain. Give honest details about your starting area, communication skills and prior courier experience.
